1) Q: I wish to buy a new American vehicle, can I view various
models at your showrooms?
A: No, Specialist Shipping Services does not operate a
car dealership. We are a specialist shipping company offering
a personal service for the individual who wishes to (with our
assistance, if required) purchase their own vehicle. We then remove
all the hassle and stress by organising the transport, shipping,
SVA or MOT tests, registration and delivery if required, thereby
offering you a considerable saving by buying direct from the dealer
at cost price.
2) Q: What advantages would there be in me buying a new vehicle
from the US?
A: Well, plenty. Firstly nearly all American vehicles
come standard with a considerably higher specification than comparable
European models and can be purchased at a very preferential rate
direct from the main dealer. Also, should you be considering a
new truck as a company vehicle, you would surprised at the considerable
tax advantages available to you. (This applies to most 4 door
crew cab, or extended cab pickup trucks with the 1000kg payload,
a requirement to qualify, however all single cab pickups qualify
for tax benefits. Please contact us for further details.)

3) Q: I am thinking of buying a 60's/70's musclecar from
a US dealer/private party, can you help?
A: Yes, we can liaise directly with the dealer/private
party in securing your purchase at the best possible price.
Through our years of unrivalled experience in these type
of vehicles, we can offer advise on the authenticity and
value of the car. We then make all the necessary arrangements
to collect and ship to the UK.

4) Q: I am considering purchasing a motorhome from the US.
Would you be able to handle everything, up to me just driving
it away?
A: Yes, no problem at all. Just contact
us with all your details and we'll take it from there.
5) Q: I am thinking of buying a classic English sportscar
from an advert in a magazine, can you help?
A: Yes, we are happy to liaise directly with any vendor
world-wide in assisting with the purchase. We will gladly act
as your agent in arranging everything that is necessary, considerably
easing the burden upon yourselves.
6) Q: I have seen a classic 'Shelby Cobra' kit car I wish
to buy in Canada, but it's located in the furthest northern town
possible, can you help?
A: Yes, we have access to a network of transport companies
based all over North America and Canada and we can collect from
anywhere. We can arrange open or enclosed transportation to suit
your individual needs and requirements.
7) Q: You have assisted me in my purchase, my car is now on
it's way. What happens now with regard to customs, import taxes,
collection from the docks, MOT, SVA test, registration etc.?
A: For a fixed fee (subject to certain conditions) we
will cover all of the above on your behalf, and even, if required
deliver the vehicle to your door, anywhere within the UK or Continental
Europe.
